Oasis on the Edge of the City: Luljetta's Hanging Gardens Spa

Working every day and having limited breaks can take a toll on a person, and sometimes, a normal weekend just isn’t enough to be able to relax and unwind. Although spas and retreats have been sprawling like a mushroom in the metro, making it more accessible to everyone; however immediately right after, you are going to go back in an atmosphere full of demands.

For me, a much better way to de-stress is to leave the city, even for a few hours. Luckily, I was able to visit this well-famed resort and spa in Antipolo City that I have been eyeing for years already – Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens Spa. I know this place is special because it is the first and only hanging gardens in the Philippines. This is the reason why I opted to celebrate here my 28th birthday.

Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens Spa is a sanctuary of wellness as it offers a holistic approach on health and well-being. It is highlighted by its very relaxing ambiance brought by the lush and scenic greeneries that surround the resort and offers a spectacular views of Laguna de Bay, Antipolo and Metro Manila. Every spot here is just right for unwinding. The different functional pools and spa are strategically located to provide access to the different stunning views and soothing atmosphere.

Amenities:

The hanging gardens features a hydro massage pool, heated jacuzzi, sauna, fish spas and an infinity pool. It has also few meditation lounging areas that provides calm environment and comfort. It is equipped with Filipino games such as “sungka” – a popular game in the Philippines that involves dropping of small stones or cowrie shells into large holes on a long canoe-shaped board.

Guests who are musically inclined have the option to play native musical instruments too. Also, there is a haven for film geeks here as there is a Luljetta’s Hanging Garden Movie lounge that showcase your favorite movies.

Experience and Overall Rating:

It was my 28th birthday when I visited Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens Spa. The reason why I decided to spend my birthday here, it is because I want to spoil and pamper myself. That’s why I booked the “comfort package” offered by Luljetta’s.

The comfort package includes a day tour access to hanging gardens facilities – locker, sauna, heated jacuzzi, hydro massage pool, infinity pool and meditation lounges. They also provide traditional bathrobe a.k.a. “batik” and towel.

The package comes also with a set meal (soup, salad, rice meal and dessert) as well as light snacks featuring the Antipolo’s Best Suman a.k.a. “SuMaKa”Suman, Mangga (mango) and Kasuy (cashew nuts). Also, an hour of good and relaxing Luljetta’s signature massage is included in the comfort package. (Sorry, I forgot to take a photo during the massage as I was too excited on it and true enough, it did not disappoint me.)

The hanging gardens is best enjoyed during weekdays as there are fewer people. It is also highly recommended to have an early appointment and reservation in order to have a smooth and hassle free transactions and personally I have experienced it. What I liked most from the time I booked online, to payment and reservations, until to the date of my visit, I did not had a hard time to process my booking. I can attest, they are organized and systematic in handling their guests.

All in all, I had a remarkable 28th birthday. The zen-like gardens, the amazing view and the topnotch facilities are among my favorite in the hanging gardens. So, if you’re planning for a quick break and wants some peace for even few hours, I highly suggest that you visit Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens Spa. I assure you that this place is made with love and definitely, you will fall in love.
