Summer beaches are
not the only fun places here in the Philippines, the cool waters and dense
forest cover of Malumpati Springs in Pandan, Antique also attract foreign
tourist and local residents from the town and nearby places. Malumpati Health
Spring and Tourist Resort is located in Sitio Malumpati, Brgy. Guia, Pandan,
Antique.
Malumpati is a natural haven for
peace, swimming and relaxation or even solitude for the Pandananons. Used as a
pace to beat the summer heat, it is also an ideal hide-away from the hustle and
bustle of a busy life.
It is a natural swimming pool 20
meters width, 40 meters in length and about 3 to 4 meters deep at the center,
crystal-clear water and free flowing from upstream to the shallow end, going
down the famous Bugang River.
Malumpati is a natural pool fed with
cool and clear water from the different natural springs of the river. The
resort is bounded by lush green vegetation and rock formations similarly close
to Palawan in which nature trippers will surely enjoy.
The spring is one of the major sources
of the municipality’s water supply. They say cold springs have even medicinal
properties for healing. According to studies, cold water therapy boosts immune
function, decrease inflammation and pain, and increase blood flow. Some argue
that a shower setting is suitable, while others say some level of immersion is
necessary for real benefit.
Here are some of the activities that
you can do while in Malumpati: swimming and diving, picture taking and
strolling, picnic, etc. Moreover, Malumpati is a must see and visit place once
you get in touched in Pandan, Antique. In addition to the Bugang River, it has
been given the “Gawad Pangulo sa Kapaligiran” (Presidential Environmental

Western Visayas region.
